A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Where did you end up buying them?

How expensive are they?

Are they true to size?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

How comfy are they?

They required minimal break-in time..

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.

Are they true to size?

They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up

Are they comfortable?

They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.

Do they hold up well?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
